Marketing & growth

Profitable growth, not just more traffic.

Marketing for Shopify stores: Meta and Google Ads, price comparison channels and email. I run it against real margin, not inflated ROAS. And when the store itself is slow or confusing, I can fix that too.

  • Ads and store in the same hands
  • I guard the budget like my own

First hand

I paid for the ads out of my own pocket.

I scaled my own Shopify brand from zero to €30,000 a month – mostly through Meta and Google Ads I was paying for myself. That taught me to count every euro of ad spend against margin rather than against a flattering number in the dashboard. Which is why I spend your budget as though it were mine.

Agencies typically push traffic at a store somebody else built, then blame that store when results are thin. Here one person handles both the ads and the store – on larger campaigns I bring in specialists I have worked with for years.

Win them and keep them

Channels that bring in profitable customers.

Not "more traffic" at any price. I put the channel mix together so every euro spent makes sense against your margin.

Meta Ads

Facebook and Instagram. Performance is no longer decided by targeting but by creative – so I produce it at pace and test what actually sells.

  • Advantage+ and classic campaigns
  • Continuous creative testing
  • Frequency and audience fatigue watched

Google Ads & Shopping

Search, Performance Max and Google Shopping. The customers already looking for you, and the ones who do not know you yet.

  • Search for hot buying intent
  • Performance Max and classic Shopping
  • The product feed kept under control

Microsoft Ads & price comparison

Europe does not end at Google. Microsoft Ads is a genuine second channel – and it is what Copilot and ChatGPT search run on – plus the comparison sites where position is won on price and feed quality.

  • Microsoft Ads, which also reaches AI assistants
  • Feeds and bidding on idealo, Ceneo or Prisjakt
  • The feed tuned continuously, not switched on and forgotten

Email & SMS flows

The easiest people to sell to are the ones who already bought from you. Automated emails and SMS that sell while you sleep.

  • Welcome, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back
  • Segmentation by customer behaviour
  • Klaviyo, Omnisend or native Shopify Messaging

Creative & video

Creative is the main performance lever today, not targeting. I make the visuals and video that stop the thumb – and replace them before they wear out.

  • Static visuals plus video and UGC
  • A production rhythm, not one ad a quarter
  • Ideas drawn from what is actually working

Social & content

Organic reach on Instagram and TikTok that props up the paid campaigns. I grew my own brand to 14,500 followers on Instagram – I know what holds attention.

  • Instagram and TikTok as the main platforms
  • Content plan and short-form video production
  • Formats that carry in paid and organic alike
No flattering

I do not guarantee ROAS. I watch margin.

Anyone promising you a specific ROAS does not control it. The numbers in ad dashboards are inflated – here is how I actually measure.

Real revenue, not the dashboard

Platforms claim orders that were never theirs and will happily count one order twice. So I work from blended MER: all of your revenue divided by everything you spent on advertising across every channel. One honest number that cannot be inflated the way a single platform ROAS can.

Profit, not just revenue

More traffic is not money. I watch margin and the ratio of what a customer costs to acquire against what they are worth – so growth does not strangle your cash flow.

Measurement iOS cannot cut off

On iOS and Safari a share of conversions never gets measured in the browser. So I send the data server-side as well, through the conversions API, to give the algorithms something to learn from and keep the numbers matching reality.

A report you can actually read

No charts for show. You see what I spent, what it brought in and what I am doing next. When something is not working, you hear it from me first.

How it works

Campaigns go live once the numbers work.

I do not pour money into ads blind. First I go through margin and costs, then I build the first campaign.

  1. 01
    Audit & unit economics

I go through your margin, your numbers and your store. Then I tell you whether scaling makes sense now, and at what budget it pays off.

  2. 02
    Setup & creative

I set up the accounts and the measurement, prepare the first batch of creative and the email flows. You approve before anything goes live.

  3. 03
    Launch & testing

Campaigns go out and I test what works – creative, audiences, channels. Whatever earns gets the budget.

  4. 04
    Scaling on margin

I add budget only where the profit survives. You get real results reported and continuous tuning, month after month.

What it costs

I take no percentage of your budget.

Management is billed monthly by scope – roughly the high hundreds to low thousands of euros a month, depending on how many channels run and how much creative gets made. The ad budget goes straight to the platforms, never through me.

What drives the price

  • How many channels run – Meta, Google, Microsoft Ads, comparison sites, email
  • How much creative gets produced and tested each month
  • Whether I handle the store itself or only the campaigns
  • The size of the ad budget and the stage – launching or scaling

The budget stays yours

I take no markup on ad spend and the accounts run on your own profiles, so I am not holding you by them. I bill for the work: setup, creative, management and reporting. And if your margin is too thin or the store converts too weakly for advertising to pay off, you hear that before you spend the first euro.

Common questions

The questions that come up with every ad account.

Can you guarantee a ROAS or specific results?

No, and anyone promising it either does not know or is selling air. ROAS in ad dashboards is inflated – platforms claim orders that would have arrived anyway. What I do guarantee is honesty: I work from real revenue against real spend (blended MER) and from margin, not from a number that screenshots well. And when advertising is not paying off, you hear it from me first.

How much budget do we need to start?

It depends on the product, the margin and the channels, so I can only give you a firm number once I have seen yours. As a rule, too small a budget leaves the algorithms nothing to learn from and the advertising never gets off the ground. In the opening audit I work out what it is worth starting with, so you do not spend the money just warming up – and whether advertising pays off at your margin at all.

How long until we see results?

I have the first data within days, but a fair read on performance takes roughly four to eight weeks – the algorithms learn, I test creative and find what sells for you. Quick wins can land sooner, from email flows or retargeting; steady scaling on margin is a matter of months, not a switch. Anyone promising a miracle in a week is pushing you into rushed decisions.

Do we have to supply the creative ourselves?

No. Creative is the main performance lever today – not targeting – so I treat it as part of the job: static visuals, video and UGC, and above all at a pace that keeps the ads from wearing out. If you have your own material or product photography I will use it; but relying on one ad for a quarter does not work any more.

Does this cover email and SMS, or only advertising?

Both, and they belong together. Your cheapest revenue comes from people who already bought from you or know you. I set up automated flows – a welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, win-back – in Klaviyo or Omnisend for deeper segmentation, or in native Shopify Messaging, which now handles email and SMS straight from the admin, so part of your revenue runs without paid advertising. Retention does not replace acquisition though; neither one works alone.

Operations automation (orders, documents)
Do Microsoft Ads and price comparison sites belong in the mix?

Yes, and which ones depends on your markets – idealo matters in Germany, Ceneo in Poland, Prisjakt across the Nordics. Microsoft Ads is a genuine second channel and it is also what Copilot and ChatGPT search sit on, which makes it worth more than its share of search suggests. With comparison sites the whole game is product feed quality and bidding, not "switch it on and forget". Getting a feed off Shopify that those channels are happy with is not as turnkey as it is on a local platform, but it is entirely solvable – I set it up and keep tuning it.

Does the store have to be on Shopify, and built by you?

Neither. I run advertising regardless of platform, but Shopify is my specialism – there I can reach into the store itself, not only the campaigns. And that is rather the point: advertising is only as good as the store it leads to. If a visitor lands on something slow or confusing, the budget burns – and I can fix or rebuild that straight away, so you are not paying two agencies to blame each other. I work on stores I did not build; I just check first that the advertising has somewhere worth leading.

CRO and store optimisation
What if we already have an agency or someone in-house?

Not a problem. I will look at the accounts and tell you straight whether there is room to improve – sometimes it is only the measurement and the creative that need work, sometimes taking over the whole thing makes sense. The accounts and the history stay yours, so a switch is not a leap into the dark and you lose no data. And if it is already set up well, you will hear that too.

Who owns the ad accounts and the data?

You do. Everything runs on your own Meta, Google and Microsoft profiles, and the access and history are yours. I take no markup on your budget and I do not hold you by withholding accounts – if we part ways, the campaigns and the data stay with you.

When does it make sense to start advertising?

Even right at the start – advertising is often the fastest way to get your first customers and find out what sells. You do not need existing revenue. What you do need is a margin that can carry the cost of acquiring a customer, and a store that converts decently – advertising amplifies what works, but a hole in your margin or your store only gets more expensive. That is why I begin with an audit: if fixing the store or the pricing pays off first, I say so straight away, not after the budget has burned.
